THE MAGNIFICENT BONPOINT
1.27.2009

I worked for Bonpoint when I lived in Paris and loved every minute of it. I adore their new site- so hip and still so classy and elegant. The flagship store on rue de tournon is my favorite store in all of Paris. Casual perfection is the only way I can think to describe it. If you can't visit the store, at least visit their site. And, be sure to watch the video clip from the style show. Adorable.

Eau d'Hadrien
1.26.2009

One of the best fragrances in the world is Eau d'Hadrien from Annick Goutal. The perfume, the body lotion, the candle, all of them. They have charming free standing stores in France and are in most high end department stores around the world. And wouldn't you know... the genius behind it is the niece of the woman who started Bonpoint!

I'm crazy about the costumes created by Wovenplay. Good old fashioned fun. No video games, no computers, just unlimited imaginations!

THE SIMPLICITY OF MAKIE
1.23.2009

These sweet little owls are from one of my favorite NYC stores, Makie. I've been crazy about Makie since they opened their tiny store in SOHO. I'm so glad the rest of the world has discovered them and appreciate their simplistic style. So much of children's clothing and toys today are overdone. Makie uses classic liberty prints and simple silhouettes which tend to feature the CHILD rather than the garment. Just as it should be.
